The world may be changing constantly, but our foundation our foundation and beliefs are not—the eternal truth of God’s Word. At Bedrock, we stand firmly on the teachings of Scripture, guided by our core beliefs and values that shape everything we do.

Our vision is to see lives transformed by the hope of the gospel through a church loves God and loves people that is sent to reach the world. Our mission is simple: Bringing God to people and people to God in every single part of their lives. 

Bedrock Sarasota began in 2019, founded by Blake and Kelsie Harcup.
Their vision was to create a church that truly welcomed everyone. While they never expected it to be planted in their hometown of Sarasota—since they were living and working in Lynchburg, Virginia at the time God had other plans.

The heart behind Bedrock was simple: to be a place where people could belong and find a family. What began with just 25 people and $2,500 in the bank has grown into a church with a clear mission—to help bring God to people and people to God in every part of their lives.

Though Bedrock Sarasota is still young and has met in a handful of different locations, its core commitment remains the same: to foster a family built on the gospel. We believe the story of the Bible centers on what Jesus has done for us—and that changes everything.

We exist to bring the hope of the gospel to Sarasota and beyond through the way we love and serve others.

We might be a little biased—but we truly believe God has brought together the very best team to lead Bedrock  week in and week out. Bedrock Church is led by Blake & an incredible team of Elders and pastors. Bedrock is supported by an amazing team of passionate, gifted, creative, and hardworking people who most importantly love Jesus and love people.
